Volunteo or WeezCrew?

Both manage event volunteers, in French, from France. The choice is not settled by a feature list but by three questions: what scope, what size, and how you want to buy.

What this page will not do

We do not publish a competitor's price. Ours is public and can be worked out in advance; theirs belongs to its publisher, who alone can state it and change it. If you are comparing, ask them for a quote and put it next to our published rate: it is the only comparison worth anything, and it is within your reach in a day.

Scope: a tool, or a platform

WeezCrew is part of Weezevent, which also publishes ticketing, access control and cashless payment. If your event already sells its tickets there, or if you need accreditation and cashless talking to the same database, that is a serious argument and we have no equivalent.

Volunteo does one thing: volunteers. No ticketing, no access control, no cashless. That is a limitation if you want a full suite, and it is the reason the tool is simpler and markedly cheaper if that is all you want.

What we do, and what you can check

  • A published per-unit price, no subscription: one price per accepted volunteer, paid once for the edition. You can work out your invoice before talking to us.
  • Nobody to call: you create your event, open sign-ups, and pay when you go past the free tier.
  • Twelve years in production and more than four thousand events created since 2014.
  • Hosted in France, with a privacy policy, a downloadable data processing agreement, and retention periods enforced by the tool.
  • The product detail is in the feature pages: sign-up, scheduling, badges and perks, documents and mail merge.

What we do not have

For honesty, and because you would find out anyway: no mobile app for volunteers (the site works on a phone, which is not the same thing), no attendance check-in, no map of positions and no hour tracking. If any of those four is on your requirements list, look elsewhere — including at specialists in outdoor sports events.

When WeezCrew is the right choice

  • You already use Weezevent ticketing or cashless and want a single invoice.
  • You need accreditation and access zones managed together with volunteers.
  • Your event runs well beyond a thousand volunteers.
  • You would rather have a dedicated salesperson than a self-service tool.

When we are the right choice

  • Your event has fifty to a few hundred volunteers — that is the heart of our customers.
  • You pay from the association's budget and want to know the cost before committing.
  • You want to start today, with no demo and no quote.
  • You need badges, personalised documents, perks deducted at the badge, or to delegate to partner organisations.

Frequently asked questions

Can we try before choosing?

Yes: creating an event is free and the first eleven accepted volunteers are free on its first edition. You can build your teams, open sign-ups and judge for yourself before spending anything.

How do we compare prices properly?

Ask the other publisher for a quote, for the exact number of volunteers of your last edition, then set it against our published rate. It is the only method that does not depend on what one competitor writes about another.

Is migrating from another tool slow?

The starting point is your volunteer list, which imports from a spreadsheet. Teams and positions are created once, then carry over from one edition to the next.

Written by the publisher of Volunteo and checked on 18 September 2026. What is said here about another solution comes from what its own publisher makes public; we do not reproduce any competitor's price, and we invite you to check with them before deciding.
